Nigeria’s Minister in Charge of Power Resigns


The Minister for Power- Professor Barth Nnaji has resigned. He resigned today Tuesday, 28th August according to the Presidency.

This is just about two months  before preferred bidders were to be announced for state assets in a privatization process targeted at overhauling the shambolic elctricity sector.

President Goodluck Jonathan has “accepted the resignation with immediate effect”, a statement said.
