London Paralympics- Yakubu Adesokan wins gold medal for Nigeria

Nigeria’s Yakubu Adesokan has set a new world record at the London Paralympics games, winning gold in 48kg categories. He lifted 180kg, and made Nigeria proud after a disappointing summer London Olympics.

Adesokan had earlier this year set a record of 177kg to wipe out a previous record of 175kg, in Dubai.

Trailing in the second place was Vladmir Balynete of Russia who took the silver medal, while Tala Addelmagid picked the bronze medal, with 165kg.
